Hey everyone. Compiled below is the current list of movies being released for 2008. I’ve never done this before and having done it, I now know why. Just joking. Seriously though, here’s the quick-fix sound-bite head’s up for a good chunk of Cinema 2008. Enjoy.

MARCH 2008
“10,000 B.C” - From the guys who brought you “Independence Day,” comes a movie about life, death, good, love, hate, and action sequences set in 10,000 B.C. No word as to whether Grog or the Fat Broad will appear. Opens March 7, 2008
“College Road Trip” - Martin Lawrence is a cop and his daughter (Raven) is planning on going to college. So, what better way for college planning than to go on a cross-country trip to find the right one? What better way to save money than not paying to see this? Opens March 7, 2008
“Snow Angels” - Kate Beckinsdale is “protected” from her abusive husband (Sam Rockwell). He comes back to town and their daughter disappears. Indie flick. Opens March 7, 2008
“The Accidental Husband” - Uma Thurman is a radio psychiatrist whose life is turned around when she finds out she’s married to a fireman. I got nothin’ for wit on this one… Opening March 7, 2008
“Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day” - Frances McDormand is the title character; a woman who looks like a homeless cleaning lady and gets bounced from job-to-job. She lucks out and works for Amy Adams, a woman who has relationships with too many men. Will they learn from each other? Opens March 8, 2008
“Funny Games” - Tim Roth and Naomi Watts are a newly moved-in couple who get psychologically terrorized by two young neighbor boys. Dark comedy? Opens March 14, 2008
“Horton Hears a Who” - Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, and Jaime Pressly give voices to this 3d-rendering of the Dr. Seuss classic. Opens March 14, 2008
“Inkheart” - Brendan Fraser (”It’s FRAY-ZER!”) and Andy Serkis in a movie about a girl that when she reads aloud, the books come to life. Trouble is she reads from the wrong book, releasing Capricorn. Looks like I’m going to have to change my zodiac sign… Opens March 19, 2008
“Drillbit Taylor” - Three kids in high school hire homeless guy (Owen Wilson) to protect them from bullies. Hasn’t his nose been punched-in enough? Opens March 21, 2008.
“Planet B-Boy” - A documentary about the unhinged world breakdancing. What, no “Breakin’ 3?” Opening March 21, 2008
“Shutter” - A couple sees dead people in their photos. Opens March 21, 2008
“21″ - Remember that History channel documentary about the MIT guys who took on the casinos in Las Vegas? This is the Hollywood interpretation of it, with Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, and Laurence Fishburne. C’mon, c’mon, I need me a new Cadillac. Dice don’t fail me now! “Stop-Loss” - Ryan Phillippe is an American soldier in Iraq who, upon hearing that he’s not allowed to go home, decides to go AWOL. Coming March 28, 2008
“All the Boys Love Mandy Lane” - Amber Heard is Lamdy Lane, that one girl in high school everyone loves. Someone loves her enough to kill off her immediate circle of friends. Gotta start somewhere… Opens March 2008
APRIL 2008
“Leatherheads” - George Clooney directs and stars in a film about the olden days of football. Hopefully, no “Super Bowl Shuffle.” Also stars Renee Zellweger. Opens April 4, 2008
“Nim’s Island” - Abigail Breslin is Nim, a girl living on a secret island with her father. When he father disappears, she reaches out to best-selling adventure writer Alex Rover (Jodie Foster) to help save her. Trouble is, Rover has never left her house in years and confides to her imaginary hero (played by Gerard Butler). Opens April 4, 2008
“Shine A Light” - Marty Scorsese takes on the “World’s Greatest Rock ‘n Roll Band,” the Rolling Stones. The trailer looks fun and the movie should be great, especially for those people like me who can only afford to part with the left toe for a concert ticket in the nosebleed section. “Wild Child” - Bratty princess (Emma Roberts) is shipped from her cushy L.A. life to a boarding school in England. I wonder if someone’s trying to say something… Opens April 4, 2008

“Made of Honor” - Patrick Dempsey’s best friend is Michelle Monaghan and upon returning from a business trip to Scotland, she’s engaged! And she wants Dempsey to be her maid of honor! But Dempsey is in love with her! Will I make it to the trash can in time before I puke? Opens May 2, 2008
“Speed Racer” - Here he comes… here comes Emile Hirsch . Yes, Emile Hirsch is Speed, Christina Ricci is Trixie, Matthew Fox is Racer X, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman are Speed’s parents… I’m gonna watch it for the visuals. Opens May 9, 2008
“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” - It’s been 1 year for the kids, and about 1300 years for Narnia. Peter, Susan, Lucy, and Edmund return (the actors playing them as well) to a different Narnia. Check out the trailer! Opening May 16, 2008
